Meet Amanda

Hello there and thank you for visiting my blog! I hope you have fun solving the puzzles and making the crafts.

WATERMARKED PROFILE PICI love to craft and share what I’ve done, what worked, what didn’t. I started out blogging with a personal blog for family and friends to see what I’ve been doing. When my posts on the Harry Potter parties I’ve hosted started to get page views from people all over the world, I started to wonder if I should dedicate a blog to all the fandoms out there. I’m used to being told how nerdy and geeky I am from my family and friends and thought I could put it to good use.

Every other Friday I will be sharing a craft, plastic canvas pattern, or some kind of puzzle. What makes this blog different from other craft blogs is this: All of my crafts and puzzles will focus on a fandom. Yep, that’s right. You see, I tend to have this addictive personality when it comes to books, movies, and tv shows. I get sucked into the world and the next thing I know someone is calling me a Harry Potter nerd or a Trekkie (compliments, I’m sure).

All of my puzzles, crafts, and patterns are made by hand. There are plenty of programs out there that will let you create a word puzzle by just plugging in your answers and clicking a button. I don’t do that. I sit down with graph paper and pencils and start from scratch. Why? Because those computer programs never seem to churn out puzzles that satisfy me. They’re either too easy or they only use half of the answers you submitted. Not cool. As for the plastic canvas patterns, I do use a program to create the finished pattern, but I don’t use it to create the pattern in the first place. More graph paper and colored pencils go into making each plastic canvas pattern.

I’m pleased to announce that as of 2018, I will start sharing cross stitch patterns! This is a fairly new hobby of mine and I’m still working out some kinks in my process of creating my own patterns, so bare with me.

I hope you find something to have fun with while you’re here. If not, then I’m not working hard enough.

I would love to hear from you in post comments or through social media. Make sure you never miss out and hit subscribe!
